Teenage Dream,” Katy Perry’s sophomore album which spawned a record-tying five No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, will be rereleased as a special edition on March 27. “Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection” will feature three new songs, as well as four re-workings of her “Dream” hits, along with the entirety of the original album.

“Confection” will include the Kanye West-assisted version of Perry’s single “E.T.,” the remix of “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” featuring Missy Elliott, a Jon Brion-produced acoustic version of “The One That Got Away,” and a 7-minute Tommie Sunshine mega-mix of the album’s six singles. The three new songs do not yet have announced titles, although two Perry tracks, “Dressing Up” and “Part of Me,” surfaced online last month before being hastily removed.

“This is the complete story of ‘Teenage Dream,’” says Perry. “This is the complete special edition of my album for my fans.”

(Perry and Jackson will remain tied for the most Hot 100 toppers from any album regardless of the performance of any singles from “Confection.” Should any song released from “Confection” reach No. 1, it would count as a Hot 100 No. 1 from “Confection” and not “Dream”).

Singer Katy Perry won’t be making an appearance at the People’s Choice Awards, the singer revealed on Twitter on Monday.

Perry has seven nominations at the annual show, including Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Song of the Year, for “E.T.” It would’ve been her first public appearance since the announcement of her divorce from actor and comedian Russell Brand.

“I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again,” she tweeted on Saturday, before taking aim at the media. “Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me. Not a blog, magazine, ‘close sources’ or my family.”

Katy Perry and Russell Brand Divorce Details

On Friday, Russell Brand filed for divorce from his pop-star wife, Katy Perry, after only a year of marriage. Details about the breakup are beginning to emerge.

Sources told Us Weekly that the couple always fought, but in the time leading up to the divorce filing, the arguments had gotten more heated, leading to one “massive fight.”

“She was like, ‘F— you. I’m going to do my own thing.’ Russell replied, ‘Fine, f— you too,’ ” the source explained.

The couple had been having problems for some time, and after trying to make it work, TMZ sources add that “it just wasn’t there” anymore. Brand eventually filed for divorce first due to Perry’s strong religious beliefs and background.

Other reports suggest that Brand and Perry may have had differing views about how they wanted to live their lives. The Daily Mail reports that recovering drug addict Brand didn’t approve of Perry’s friends (like fellow pop star Rihanna). He had reportedly asked her to “tone it down.”

Whatever happens next for these two, the comedian noted in a statement that he hoped to remain friends with Perry. “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I will always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.” Perry has not commented since the news broke.

After 14 months of marriage, Katy Perry and Russell Brand are getting a divorce.

According to TMZ, Brand has filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The Associated Press has confirmed that the couple is splitting, with Brand announcing in a statement, “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

Perry and Brand started dating in late 2009. The couple married on Oct. 23, 2010 in India.

Rumors of a possible split were flying over the Christmas weekend after the couple allegedly spent the holiday apart, and were both photographed without their wedding rings. Brand and Perry do not have any children.

Sinead O’Connor Ends 16-Day Marriage

After only 16 days, Sinead O’Connor’s 4th marriage is over.

O’Connor explains that her husband had been “terribly unhappy” and that their relationship had caused much anguish in his family and posed a threat to his work as a child therapist, and so she decided it would be best to cut her losses and set him “free.”

“I’m sorry I’m not a more regular woman,” she writes. “I truly believe, though it is painful to admit, we made a mistake rushing into getting married, for altruistic reasons, and weren’t aware or prepared for the consequences on my husband’s life and the lives of those close to him.”

She adds, bluntly, that she broke up with him because “I think he is too nice to do so. And too nice to trap.” They lived together for only seven days, she says. “We haven’t been awful to each other. So while I feel sad for my husband, and sad to be the cause of sorrow to yet another poor man, I’m also happy that I know we weren’t horrible to each other and he is better off free.”

O’Connor and Herridge tied the knot on Dec. 8, her 45th birthday, in a drive-thru ceremony in Las Vegas. After filling out the paperwork, the couple shared vows from the back of a light pink Cadillac at A Little White Wedding Chapel while O’Connor donned a matching pink wedding dress.

The two met during the singer’s online search for a “wham-bam” sexual partner that drew much media attention several months ago.

This was O’Connor’s fourth marriage. Her third, to Steve Cooney, ended in divorce earlier this year. The mother of four was also previously married to producer John Reynolds and journalist Nicholas Sommerlad.
