Bruce Spring Added to Grammy Lineup

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will join the superstar lineup of performers booked for the Grammy Awards on February 12. The 20-time Grammy-winning rock icon will take the stage to promote his upcoming studio album, Wrecking Ball.

The Springsteen announcement came just a day after Katy Perry was also added to the show.Adele announced her Grammy appearance on Tuesday.

Rihanna, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Aldean and Nicki Minaj are also confirmed to perform live at the show, which will be hosted by LL Cool J.

Rapper Nicki Minaj will make her debut Grammy performance next month, joining Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars and country singer Jason Aldean on the list of artists who will take to the stage on the recording industry’s biggest night.

Grammy organizers said on Thursday that Minaj, who has four Grammy nominations, will perform at the February 12 awards show, as well as country sensation Taylor Swift, and Kelly Clarkson.

Rapper Kanye West, who leads this year’s Grammys with seven nominations, is also yet to be confirmed as a performer at the live awards show in Los Angeles.

Organizers said additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

Adele, Kanye, Bruno Mars and Foo Fighters Lead Grammy Nominations

The Grammy nominations were announced on Wednesday, and leading the lineup of nominated artists was Kanye West with a total of seven nominations, primarily for the song, “All of the Lights.” His album was left off of best album contention, and “Lights” was not nominated for Record of the Year.

Following close behind Kanye are Adele, Bruno Mars and Foo Fighters, each competing for album, record of the year. All artists earned six nominations each.

Also up for top album honors, aside from Adele’s “21″ and Mars’ “Doo-Wops & Hooligans,” is Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” and Rihanna’s “Loud.”

Surprising newcomer to the nominations list is Bon Iver, an indie-folk singer who appeared on much of Kanye West’s latest album. Iver is up for Record of the Year for “Holocene,” which also snagged a nomination for Song of the Year, and is competing against Nicki Minaj, Skrillex, J. Cole and The Band Perry for Best New Artist.

The 54th Grammys will be held Feb. 12 in Los Angeles on CBS.
